All classes are held on Sunday mornings 9:30—10:15 a.m.
Children & Youth Classes
All classes will be using the “Whole People of God” curriculum.
This curriculum is based on the Revised Common Lectionary with age
appropriate lessons for each class. There are lots of pictures,
music, and activities for the younger children. The older youth
will be having lots of discussion and projects to work on during class
time. Join us for fun and fellowship with your church friends
each Sunday morning!

- September 10—October 15
"World Religions in America"
Facilitator: Ann Rodewig
Discussions will be held about a variety of religions as diverse as
Islam, Latter Day Saints, Scientology, the Amish and more. Learn
about the commonalities and differences in beliefs and practices.

"Why Presbyterian?"
Facilitator: Rev. Carol Wedell & guest speakers
From the historical foundation of the Presbyterian Church to the
deliberations and decisions of the 2006 General Assembly, this series
will focus on the denomination’s past and future as it impacts
individual members and the Church of the Western Reserve.

"Advent Bible Study"
Facilitator: Rev. David Sherwin
This Bible study will be designed to increase our knowledge and appreciation for Advent.
- January 7—28
"Scriptures Alive! Video Series"
Facilitators: Congregational members
With a video providing a reference point in scripture, each week will
focus on a different topic that has relevance for modern everyday
life. Through discussion, possible responses to these issues will
be explored.
- February 4—18
"Nurturing Children’s Spiritual Lives"
Facilitator: Rev. Carol Wedell
In a series designed for parents, grandparents, and all those who care
about children, Pastor Carol will lead a series that focuses on some of
the issues and situations that offer opportunities to foster children’s
spiritual growth, and ways that can contribute positively to that
growth.
- February 25—April 1
"Were You There?” Lenten Study
Facilitators: congregational members
Using Eric Korbell’s book of the same name, this series will give an
in-depth look at those who were at the foot of the cross when Jesus was
crucified. Studying the roles and relationships of these people
will provide a basis for this Lenten exploration.
- April 15—May 20
"Christians and the Faithful Use of Modern Medicine"
Facilitator: Suzanne Burkholder
In a search for a faithful Christian response to the increasingly
technological use of medicine, a religious basis and medical
information will be used to explore some of the very difficult
decisions that confront us today. The focus will not be on
reaching a single “right” answer, but on providing a framework that
permits each person to arrive at his or her own decisions that provide
peace and comfort within a faithful context.

- Disciple Bible Study—Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. & Thursdays at 9:30 a.m
- Youth Group (grades 6—12) - 2nd Sunday of the month at 5:30 p.m.
